How to Delete Your Rednote Account

1. Prepare and Log In
First, open your Rednote app and make sure you're logged into the account you want to delete. This is important because you'll need access to your account for the verification process.
2. Find the Settings Menu
Look for the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner of your screen. Tap it, and you'll find the Settings option at the bottom of the menu that appears.
3. Access Account Security Settings
Once in Settings, you'll see "Account Security" at the top of the page. Tap on it to proceed to your account's security settings.
4. Start the Deletion Process
Scroll down to the bottom of the Account Security page until you find the "Account Cancellation" option. This is where you'll begin the actual deletion process.
5. Verify Your Identity
For your security, Rednote will send a One-Time Password (OTP) to your registered phone number. Simply enter this code when prompted to prove it's really you requesting the deletion.
6. Review and Accept Terms
You'll be shown a terms page (which may be in Mandarin). Don't worry if you can't read it - you can use any translation tool to understand the content. Once you've reviewed the terms, check the box to accept them.
7. Provide Your Reason
Rednote will ask why you're leaving (the options will likely be in Mandarin). Select any reason that best matches your situation, then look for the red confirmation button to proceed.
8. Complete the Process
After you tap the confirmation button, your deletion request will be processed. You should receive a final confirmation message shortly after.

- Phone Verification: Make sure your phone number is correctly linked to your account - you'll need it for the OTP verification
- Permanent Action: Remember that once your account is deleted, all your data, posts, and content will be permanently removed from Rednote
